SUMMARY:Generations – Dharma Center Movie Fundraiser: No No Girl
DESCRIPTION:Eighty years ago\, on the eve of war and incarceration\, a Japanese American family buries a secret in their backyard garden. Three generations later\, a clue is discovered – unearthing the trauma and truth of their historic past. \nWe have screened for over 2000 people in LA and Orange County since the fall. We premiered at the Japanese American National Museum\, in LA’s Little Tokyo\, to a sold out crowd. Since then we screened for a week at the Laemmle Theater in Glendale and had two big shows at Orange County Buddhist Church. Our cast includes newcomer\, Mika Dyo\, alongside Oscar Winner\, Chris Tashima\, and a huge ensemble cast of Japanese American actors. \nPlease join us for a showing of No No Girl on Saturday\, January 28\, 2023 at 6:00pm in the Betsuin Annex.
