Service to honor the women who were central to Jodo Shinshu:

• Eshinniko – who supported Shinran Shonin throughout his life
• Kakushinni – who was the first “gatekeeper” (monshu) of what would become the Hompa Honganji.
• Lady Takeko Kujo – who founded the Buddhist Women’s Association (BWA)

The service is also a memorial service for all BWA members.
