Open Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Licensing & Class Size

• Licensed for 24 children — a nice, small-group environment!
• Older and Younger class has approximately 12 children each

Age & Potty Training Requirements

• Children must be at least 2 years old
• 100% toilet trained during the day and 2-hour nap, including:
  • Pulling pants up and down independently
  • Wiping independently
  • Communicating toileting needs to staff

Health Requirements

• Immunizations are required and must be up to date

Calendar

• Open year-round
• Closed for major holidays, a school vacation around July 4th, Obon Festival (one week), and approximately two weeks during Winter Break

• Weekly themes to encourage curiosity and learning
• STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math)
• Children attend daily temple services

Meals

• Lotus is the first step into our Betsuin (Dharma School, scouts, and much more) and our Japantown community.
• We love Japantown and our deep connections to local businesses/community groups.  We often take walks to visit our friends in Japantown and based on our weekly theme.
• Monthly intergenerational activities with our Yu Ai Kai (senior center) friends.
• We support community events with our collection of Japanese songs and taiko.
