The San Jose Bonsai Club is an affiliated organization of the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin. It was founded over fifty years ago by members of the Akebono Bonsai Club of Palo Alto. The biggest annual event for the Club is the Bonsai Show at the Betsuin. It is a member of the Golden State Bonsai Federation (GSBF) and actively participates in GSBF events throughout the year. The members also help with the upkeep of the Betsuin garden and help prune the Temple trees.
