The Junior YBA is a social and religious organization whose members are High School aged. The teens meet several times per month in general meetings, open gym, conferences and social events. The organization provides an opportunity for the teens to have fun, make good friends, do service projects, and learn more about Buddhism. All events are chaperoned. The organization, though managed by a member-led governing body, has parent volunteers acting as advisors in all aspects of the organization. Some events involve travel to other Temples, usually within the state, but often outside of the Bay Area.
